I am very excited about this blog because I have a whole lot to talk about. This blog will be about my trip to Herhsey park. The reason I went to Herhsey park was to see the Dave Matthews Band and OAR play. I have seen the DMB at Hershey a couple times now and have enjoyed each concert tremendously.

There was nothing to stop us from having an excellent day. That is, except for the RAIN!!!. We the weather report was calling for severe thunderstorms all day. This wouldnt have been too worrying, except for the whole 100% chance of rain. Well the weather people know absolutely nothing. We say no rain all day. So I guess 100% percent doesnt mean what it use to.

The day started with Lois Anne and I waking up at 8 am to take showers and get ready for our trip. Once ready we ran a few errands and finally at 930 we got on the road to Hershey. The trip was pretty straight forward we got there around 11 and waited for my friend Shaun and his girlfriend.

When everyone arrived we decided to eat lunch at Red Robin, this was my first time eating there. It was ok I had a cobb salad, which was quite tasty. The time spent at red robin was for some catchin up. I haven't seen Shaun in a few weeks and I don't know his new girlfriend at all. So it was good to reconnect with him and get to know her a little better. During lunch Shaun actually told me some disappointing news. He informed me that the Black Crowes concert at Montage this summer was cancelled. I was very upset because that was one of the concerts I was looking forward to all summer. Oh well!

After that we had a long adventure finding a parking spot. Each couple had trouble finding a parking spot, but once parked we were ready to hit the park. I have to say I am not a big rollercoaster fan. Well let me re-say that, I like roller coasters just not the ones that make me go upside down. So we spent the rest of the afternoon riding roller coasters ( such as, comet, wildcat, lightning racer and such). The highlite of the day for me was the Canyon Rapids, oh my god we got soaked.

After the park we grabbed a quick bite to eat and went to the concert. I have seen DMB over 15 times and OAR 3 times, so i was expecting a very good show.

The show was good. Oar was solid, they grooved and jam very well. I didnt know much of their songs but it was still a good show. DMB went on next and was alright. It was an ok show, I have seen much better but there were a few highlites. I enjoyed the playing of "Dreaming Tree" and "JTR".

After the show it was time to get back home. The traffic leaving a Hershey concert is usually terrible. This is when that 100% percent chance of rain began. It rained steadily the entire time we traveled home. We got lucky and made a few moves and were home at 230. It was a long day but a great time. Great day and great memories

Dear Grad School

BLAHHHH

Sincerely yours,
Jason

Well I think everyone can see that Im upset with school. Im very overwhelmed with work right now and theres only 2 more weeks left of class. I see that I still wont have a social life until my first two classes are through. Oh well, what else is there to do in Bloomsburg, right?

There are some good to report. I have gotten back to my hippie roots. Isay this because I have been listening to a whole lot of Phish and the Dead lately.

I found my sandal that was missing. When i went home last weekend my right sandal did not make the trip. I was positive that I packed it and I thought I lost it. I bought another pair of sandals while I was home, because I can not live without sandals. Apparently the sandal fell out of my bag when i left my room. Damn Sandal!!

The best thing to report is that tomorrow night (thurseday June 22) my wonderful girlfriend will be coming to visit for the weekend. Its too bad that I am going to be ass to ankles deep in work, but we will make the best of it. Aloha

and the squirming coil it got away....
